Florence is home to two award winning hospital systems, McLeord Regional Medical Center and Carolinas Hospital System. Both hospital systems have achieved numerous accreditations and accolades.
Downtown Florence is currently undergoing a massive revitalization. With the opening of the FLorence County museum and the Francis Marion Performing Arts Center, downtown Florence has exloded. Several new restaurants and businesses have opened and many continue to flock to the downtown district.
